Ken Bailey - Bass,
Vocals.
Ken has been playing guitar
since before puberty but never really developed until after his divorce.
After stumbling into a friend's music room at a Labor Day Party and being
invited to join his band as a Bassist, he's never put it down. With a
love of R&B, Soul, Motown and Classic "Blues Rock" Beggar's
Blues is his third band and the first that he's had a significant role as a
lead singer. He was
instrumental in the formation of Beggar's Blues. Contact Ken at kjamesb@yahoo.com
for information about the band. Ken has also started The
Midnight Ramblers,
an Old School Soul band with a horn section.

Don Hood - Guitar, Vocals. Don got his first guitar at the age of 3.
It had 4 strings and the little "crank-it" played "Mary Had a Little
Lamb." He taught himself to play guitar by listening to records by the Beach
Boys, Cream, and Rolling Stones. Next, Don played
bass guitar in the (infamous) garage band "The Deadbeats" in junior high and, won
the 8th grade battle of the bands with their memorable versions of "Hang On
Sloopy" and "Satisfaction". The band continued to record at home. Later Don
jammed with various bands in high school and college. Then, he got married. did the house, job, and
yard work thing...a long musical interlude. Don has now dusted off Blondie, his favorite guitar, and joined the fabulous "Beggars
Blues!" Now he expects to
get famous, become huge rock star, and retire with millions.

Lauradee Sheffield - Keyboard, Percussion,
Vocals.
Lauradee's singing career began at East Whittier Jr. High's 8th grade talent show where she and a girlfriend donned
maxi-dresses
and sang of a boy who dumped them both. From there she's joined several church choirs doing what she loves
best singing harmony and
backing vocals. Lauradee's vocal tones can heard twice daily during her 5:30 AM shower and 5:30 PM commute. Lauradee
is heavily influenced by the sounds of Motown, Dusty Springfield, Ella Fitzgerald, and Bonnie
Rait.

Greg Sheffield - Drums, Vocals.
Greg began his formal musical training in 1973. In the early eighties he
played with local bands on the Orange County club circuit. He was also involved in numerous studio recording projects. Now 30 years later Greg has
found his dream band with Beggar's Blues.

Jim Barr - Guitar, Vocals.
Jim
became interested in guitar after seeing the Beatles on Ed Sullivan. His
cousin turned him on to the Stones soon after and so began his Rock
& Roll education. Early on Johnny Winter, Roy Buchanan and Jorma
Kaukonen influenced his style which has since been tempered with a
little Albert Lee/ Bill Kirchen twist. After moving from New Hampshire
to California he played with a bunch of cover bands in the early
eighties before pulling a long stint with the all-originals band
"The Toads". The musical diversity of "Beggar's
Blues" lets him use a little bit of everything he's picked up along
the way.

News:
Thanks to all of you who made
out Farewell show at Ami Beaucoup. We had so much fun at the cool little
club on the stern of the Riverboat in Newport that Jim decided that he'd keep
playing with us, but only there! See the Upcoming
Shows page for more details.
Special thanks to "Hot-Drunk-Chic"
for making the evening one to remember. I hope that "Husband-Boyfriend"
didn't give you too much grief.
